Your Initial Consultation

Prior to the initial consult, your practitioner will review the health records and lab reports that you provide us. We review CT scans, PET scans, MRIs, bone scans, liver scans, brain scans, and others. Many of these tests are included in standard cancer care.

The initial consultation involves an in-depth dialogue with your practitioner about your health history and current status, nutritional needs, lifestyle, and more. This typically takes anywhere from 75 – 90 minutes. The complexity of your case will predetermine how much time is required for your initial consult.

Directly after the initial consultation, your practitioner will spend time developing a customized treatment protocol. Protocol development may also be discussed during your consultation. Additional blood tests may be requested by your practitioner.

Your Initial Consultation requires a $100 non-refundable deposit due at time of scheduling your appointment. Your deposit secures the appointment with your practitioner, and will be applied toward your consultation. Please call our office at 541.488.3133 for a fee schedule.

Your Follow-Up Consultation

Your Follow-up Consultations will be scheduled by your practitioner according to your continued progress while on your protocol. A follow-up consult can last anywhere from 30 – 60 minutes depending on your health status. These are billed by the hour and/or prorated in 15-minute increments.

Any additional communication that you initiate with your practitioner between regularly scheduled consultations is considered billable time, including emails. Extra research that you request by your practitioner, or protocol re-writes, may also be billed.

Support staff is available to answer general questions about your protocol, help with ordering from our apothecary, and liaising with your practitioner on your behalf, at no additional charge.

"Thank you for all you do for me – thank you for your dedication to helping people and sharing your vast knowledge. The depth of your research translates to ways of helping tremendously. I feel I would not still be alive, albeit still trying to outsmart cancer, today if not for you. Yes, I’ve struggled with cancer, but I’ve had quality of life for almost three years now. When it’s my time to go, I leave feeling loved, really loved. And most times content and peaceful. I feel mostly HEALED, even if there is no cure. Thank you for all you give me, the care and love… that makes my living a joyful experience."  ~ Leslye L., Mederi Center patient

Mederi Care®: Mederi Center’s Integrative Approach

Mederi Care (sometimes referred to as the Eclectic Triphasic Medical System or ETMS) is the integrative model developed and applied at Mederi Center, which results in personalized and adaptive whole person treatments. Mederi Care synthesizes scientific theories with wisdom-based traditions, and is a non-reductive unitive model derived from whole systems theories. A foundational premise is that every person embodies innate self-healing capacities and wholeness when supported by health-promoting elements. Mederi Care considers each person’s unique constitution and their body’s microenvironment with internal and external interactive disease factors. Treatment integrates healthful elements fit to the individual in right relationship for healing. For example, Mederi Care evaluates root causes supporting cancer including genetic and biochemical predispositions, cellular expressions, tumor characteristics, traumas, beliefs, habits, and lifestyle.

The Mederi Care approach layers and networks healthy medicines (phytochemically complex synergistic herbs and nutrition), integrated with pharmaceuticals, and complemented by lifestyle changes to treat each person and their specific disease-supporting environment. Combined with potentially toxic disease-suppressing medications, the intent is to mitigate toxicities and reduce dosages while optimizing intended targeted effects. Augmenting this is the goal to strengthen the individual, supporting vitality, and altering the microenvironment, thereby maximizing health and well-being.

Individualized Mederi Care treatment protocols are complex, thorough, and time intensive. Treatments include multiple herb and nutraceutical supplements in pill and powder forms, prescribed medicinal smoothies, herbal tonic tinctures, and drinks such as herb-fortified ciders and customized teas. Therapeutic diet recommendations, education, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to reduce stress and build resilience are included. Spiritual and emotional care are as much a priority as physical treatments. As-needed treatments are included for emergent symptoms, conditions, or to augment medical treatments. Mederi Center treatments, while product and time intensive, are adapted to personal circumstances (see sample protocol below, excerpted from a Mederi Center Breast Cancer Research Study).
